The Pesticides Control Board of Belize held an event on Thursday, 28 November 2013 to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the passing of the Pesticides Control Act (PCA) and the regulation of pesticides in Belize.
The 25th anniversary commemorative event had the participation of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), the Ministry of Natural Resources and Agriculture (MNRA), Non-governmental organizations, representatives from the agro-productive sector and the pesticide industry.
The event featured a panel presentation and discussion and a demonstration expo showcasing technological innovations in pest management and outreach programs that support sustainable agriculture.
The event was carried out under the theme: Rational Pesticide Management for Sustainable Food Systems.
